Jigsaw’s method of “teaching people to value life” currently has a 0% success rate. Of all his victims in all the movies, only two survivors didn’t go crazy and become accomplices/disciples, and neither of them seemed to have an “improved outlook on life”. The detective’s son is traumatized and the woman forced to cut off her own arm is resentful and bitter.

I really love Emerson's Motivation for Spiral. Especially because of the scene that we were supposed to get. The directors considered a post-credits scene to include Tobin Bell. It was supposed to show the young Emerson meeting John, and John gave him a small Billy The Puppet. That motivated him, and would have been perfect to see in the actual movie.

No matter how many videos I watch explaining the timeline of the Jigsaw killers/accomplices, I swear I'll never actually remember who does what or why. Just far too many people, flashbacks and storylines for a franchise people only ever watch for death traps.
