Seeing this wrap up makes me feel better about the Nintendo presentation, as it made me realize; sure there are no big hit announcements, but all games are very solid and I will be more likely to buy one of them than the 10000 Assassins Creed game.

I cant believe it that Nintendo doesnt take seriously a masive important event for the industry like E3. What Nintendo show us today? Shit, shit, shit and more shit... oh and I almost forget it, they also show us more shit!! (Except for star fox and xenoblade but.. we all know about those already).

I think people overestimate the validity of Nintendo franchises. I think that people overestimate the number of people that still want to see Mario and it's plethora of spinoff titles. Yes, there is a core demographic of people that still want Mario games, but I think the gaming population in general couldn't care less about it. That goes for many of Nintendo's franchises. If people still wanted those things the Wii U would be selling much better. I can honestly say that in my adult life I've never met a single person that said "I would really like to play another Mario game.". And I think for many people the spinoffs are still the same old formula, another Mario platformer game. I think if Nintendo worked hard on new IP and dialed back its use of the same old franchises it would do a lot better.

honestly Nintendo just acquire new studios let them bring new life into making new ip and working on your older franchises you cant do it alone and no 3rd party is willing to risk their money so show your support by risking yours and backing new projects - sincerely a Nintendo fanboy
