It’s so nice to hear that Ryan isn’t really over-paranoid about being recognized in public, especially considering how we all definitely ARE out to get him.

I never read Mantis as complicit in Ego’s deeds. I read her as a victim of abuse. She never had the power to stop Ego herself, and when the guardians show up, she sees a window of opportunity to stop him. But she fears Ego so she hesitates telling them. Eventually though, she builds the courage to do the right thing.

6:49 I can’t believe Ryan pulled off a seamless costume change in an instant! Truly a great actor.

6:55 the face he makes after saying "you guys can fork yourselves" is perfect. Feels like he came up with that joke in the moment, realized it, and decided to leave it in lol

"It took James Cameron 15 years to go, but what if water instead of tree?" had me literally laugh out loud! Always great work, Ryan! Thanks so much!

Looking back at these older ones, I think it's noticeable how your voice work improved over the years. Your scripts were always great, but the specific intonation you use nowadays just seems to bring everything together! Yours quickly became one of my favorite channels on youtube, keep it up!

Alright, so my takeaway from this was that everyone going up to Ryan on the street should immediately say "no, you don't know me from elementary school", and save him that little bit of stress.

The more I watch Ryan, the more i realize how people could believe Superman and Clark Kent are different people.

When those glasses went on it was like Screenwriter guy was RIGHT THERE

To be fair to Mantis, how could she stop a homicidal sentient planet and live to tell the tale?

The “all the way off my back” line is one of my favorites when it is able to get worked in, would definitely be a fan of that “old bit” getting used more lol

Damn. It’s impressive how quickly you got into character without any warmup. It’s like you’re wearing their skin.

Adam Savage talked about how people recognize (recognise) him in public. He tried to always remember that people feel like they know him but he doesn't know them from a can of beans (paraphrased). So he always acted like them knowing him was perfectly normal and was very friendly as much as is practical/safe. Adam Savage has a lot of wisdom to pass on. I like his channel.

What are your favorite youtube channels?

I love how no one noticed Drax standing in the background the whole time

I always thought Mantis was innocent. She clearly tries to stop him the first chance she gets. Before that, she was pretty much a captive.

please don't forget about the "heyshutup" bit, that's one of my favorites of your newer bits in the pitch meetings and it always makes me squeal and clap my hands like a small child when i hear it 💖

It’s a trip to watch how much more comfortable you’ve gotten on camera, bro. These were great back in the day, but you’ve come a long way. Well done

6:47 Ryan does a great Scriptwriter Guy impression. It must be all of those years he's spent working with Mr. George on these Pitch Meetings.

Ya gotta love Ryan’s attention to completing the revisit to this amazing trilogy!
I really did laugh out loud at the “I’m not going to spoon feed you, you guys are fork level, you can fork yourself” joke

Its very interesting to see how Ryan used to be quite calm, compared to current times when he is filled with a trillion tonnes of manic energy. Now that's a character arc (going from amazing to amazing).

6:40 The way he can just seamlessly switch between characters proves how versatile Ryan really is as an actor.
