I just inherited a small operation in Missouri. I’m very thankful I found your channel. Luckily I have a very good side job and able to self fund the equipment, cattle and fencing. I’m even more lucky to have a great wife and uncle work it while I chase money to get it going. Seeing you and your family living the dream my family and I want to live helps keep my spirits up while I’m doing a job I don’t like. Great job

What a role model you are as an indefatigable provider, husband, and father!

Yes, the wind on the east side of the Rockies...We had our annual down here near Amarillo. I understand that the 6 highways into town had 49 semis turned over March 13th. with up to 80 mph gust.

You could possibly add a circulator pump into your water tanks to keep the water moving if you still have issues with them freezing

haha that's some wind! Reminds me of a summer I worked on a ranch here in Iceland... Iceland is an extremely windy place

May you all regain your health. Wind can really mess things up.
May your High tunnel remain together.

I love your videos. I hope to one day save up enough to get a place to be able to either have a small farm or raise some animals.

I highly recommend stampede strings. They help so much on windy days like that.
I make my own out of a leather boot string that you can get just about anywhere for around $6. I just take the single string and thread it up in between the leather sweat band the hat carefully using needle nose pliers. Then, I just pull it through and thread it down through the other side. After this, I make sure the string can tuck behind my sweat band. Then, you just slide the leather strings through the bead and tie knots at even lengths to keep your sliding bead on the strings.
Now, you just put your hat on and slide the bead up to your chin. The windy days should be a lot easier.
All the best

This was a great video. Had me interested and chuckling all the way through. I never thought about the need to "de-pile" the cow-patties.

Sound like a good day to go inside and read that book Mike, was reading up on the snow storm of '49...now that would really be bad. Praying for your family's recovery from the crud. I'll be watching the live feed, all the best from the beautiful north Georgia mountains-Jerry
