There were days where HTC was the best UI of all.

Even today, my all time favorite Android skin is MIUI 9.0 and earlier. It’s still the most beautiful skin IMO.

splitting notifications from quick settings is the most stupid thing that an android manufacturer can do just to copy apple. apple only did this to be different than android after years of stubbornly refusing to add it to iOS.

Just an observation: Most of what was discussed included:

1.Lifetime update support
2.Features (that aren't whatsoever tied to a theme or layer)

There were a few mentions about aesthetics (e.g., Tecno notifications panel), but not much. And there was definitely nothing about how the same things are achieved differently on each of those phones (brands). So, Android skin layers weren't actually the topic of the video as claimed. I was interested to learn more about that. Otherwise, nice video, appreciated.

I like the overall feel and aesthetics of the pixel ui but If I have to choose I pick one ui all day, it has way more features than the pixel ui.

Ranking Funtouch higher than MIUI is a crime. Funtouch just doesn't feel good to use. The animations and all are no where close to MIUI. You can bash Xiaomi for the bloatware but that doesn't take away the good that MIUI Offers. The Animations are much better in MIUI. Also, Vivo isn't bloat free either. Just for context I've used both the skins long enough to reach this conclusion!

For all Android users, don't take these reviewers too seriously. They often pretend to use the phones they review extensively, but in reality, they usually switch back to iOS shortly after. Instead, focus on finding the right skins and features that suit your personal preferences.

You're not even up to date on update policy for some phones. Sony is now doing 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches across all their phones releases this year

One ui is true representation of Android which let's you customise a lot of things unlike Pixel ui which doesn't even let me remove at a glance widget from the homescreen. 🤦🏻

One UI is so much more feature reach and multitasking focused than Pixel UI it should definitely get the top spot

1 and 2 are definitely reversed. Pixel UI severely lacks in customizability. Not to mention there is NO justifiable reason as to why in 2024 that we STILL don't have a transparent navigation bar.

One UI is just very easily better than Pixel UI. It's INFINITELY more customisable, logical, secure (Knox security) and I am really not sure what the big deal with 'bloatware' is, the Samsung apps aren't bad at all, and they can all be easily disabled in 3-4 minutes max.

Oh and do we really need to talk about how buggy Pixel UI has been over the years? Compare that with how consistent One UI has been.

And, Google also asks creators to always say that they prefer Pixel phones to stay in their Team Pixel or whatever program that is.
