One thing that really impressed me was Enoch’s tour of the heavens where he was shown a bottomless pit with the fallen angels bound inside it. If you pay close attention to the description of the bottomless pit it perfectly describes the characteristics of a what astronomers know today as a black hole.

It's not 'banned', it was just not included like many other manuscripts both in old & new testments. Infact, 'the Book of Enoch' is mentioned in Jude and details of Enoch are written in other places in Bible. It's just like a syllabus taught in school.. following the syllabus could ensure you pass for the exam but bright students study extra to gain more marks!! So God has inspired the Saints to include the current books for 'passing' the exam of 'life'.. one who is looking further more are invited to study those extra chapters!!

I love how people keep saying aliens visited us in the past, when it's clear it was fallen angels instead. Specifically giving us the knowledge for building pyramids, astrology, writing and even giving us technology far ahead of it's time. The book of Enoch to me is very interesting because it confirms that and gives us more in depth answers. The reason it isn't included in the Bible is because it deals with topics that were considered too controversial and taboo. What's intriguing about it is it confirms the validity of the Bible while also adding to it.

For those who may not be aware, the Book of Enoch is quoted in the New Testament in the Book of Jude. Enoch is also included in the Bible used by the Ethiopian Church. It wasn't "banned" among other ancient Christians; it just never caught on among them.

As a an Ethiopian orthodox christian im proud that this book was part of our bible for thousand years it is called Methafe henok there are people who are named after it here in ethiopia its not new for ethiopians and i read it when i was about 19 or 20 years old but asked pastors to understand cause it was mind blowing!! I have a vivid memory from when i was 16 of one of my Bishops in my Syriac Orthodox Christian church turning to me and saying "you know, we believe in the Book of Enoch." I had no clue what he was talking about until 26 years later.

Enoch was removed from the bible because the enemy didn't want us to know about the fallen angels and the nepheline and many other writings even on the end times, if it was in the bible we believer's would be even more informed, Enoch walked with God took, they looked for him but could not find him for God took him, Jude speaks of Enoch in the book of Jude , i get joy reading the comments to see all you wonderful souls writing about Jesus and God for I get frustrated when I tell people about Jesus and God for most of the time I get looked at like I'm crazy, I believe that people's hearts have been hardened .

Fascinating topic. Incidentally, the Book of Enoch has been part of the Ethiopian Orthodox canon of Scripture since the beginning of Christianity. Theirs is the longest standing, unaltered canon of Scripture in the Christian Church. All the more reason for us to get our heads round the fascinating information curated by the book.

As an Ethiopian, there are two things I wish all of you to know: the major part of the Book of Enoch (መጽሀፈ ሔኖክ) was found in Ethiopia (of course written on vellum) after which translated and brought (some says stolen) to Europe by James Bruce and we (Ethiopian Orthodox) incorporate book of Enoch with other 80 books as a BIBLE and still officially using it with full content. Also, we use almost the same calendar system you mentioned in the video. I would appreciate if you refer and mention these facts in your content. God bless you all.
