Dawkins: You believe in literal fairytales?
Mehdi: You think you're better than me?

I admire how he doesn’t get mad or take the questions personally. It's so effective.

Dawkins is deluded if he considers Mehdi as an Intellectual.

He’s attacking their believes, not them as individuals. However, some are so identified with their believes, it feels like a personal attack when somebody critique them. And that’s where they stop listening no matter how good of an argument one is making.

Damn, why always go for the personal attack when clearly Dawkins didn't say anything about superiority or inferiority.

I love how calm and intelligent Dr Dawkins is.
I think both the religious folks and atheists can agree that this type of dialogue is what we need in the world, not only on religion but on all issues.
Both sides make their points and let the people decide what ideas to adopt and what to discard

I am a religious person, but never once have I ever felt disrespected by Richard Dawkins. He is always civil and respectful to anyone that is religious but makes his opposing views known, but it is never personal.

Mehdi absolutely does not actually believe that the prophet flew to heaven on a winged horse, but he hasn’t got the guts to admit it publicly

Dawkins is a wonderful educator. So much patience. He did not attack the believer but the belief itself. There are many reasonable and logical people who still believe nonsensical stories. It is not because they are all not intelligent. Some are scared to question it as the fear of hell & fire has been bashed into them and doubt in god is seen as a bad thing in religion. Critical thinking is drawn out of it. The question of “what if” keeps people not questioning it.

His reply was really so good and constructive ❤️
People need to differentiate between themselves and their beleifs.
Criticising someone's beleifs doesn't mean we are making fun of the individual.

Notice Hasan evades answering whether he believes in the winged horse story😂
