Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Every single time there's a shot of Nate waking Kara up with some coffee and kisses, my heart sings. It makes me think of two things: how beautiful it is that you two are so wholly in love and are able to deeply care even 16 years later, and reminds me of my own relationship and how fortunate I am to have such an amazing person.

My husband and I also met in high school at 16 and 17. We dated for 3 years and got married at 19 and 20. We’ve now been married for 45 years, and together for 48. We also know the exact date of when we started dating. I wish you both the love, joy, and commitment that we have experienced all of these years ♥️

Hi dears! You may use low cut filter on your audio to prevent extreme wind noise, which is takes main power of your audio spectrum.

Try to do this in Final cut at 150Hz and you’ll see that the audio levels of useful sound decrease dramatically. Cause most powerful part of your spectrum now is the wind noise.

After low cut filter you can increase your audio to usual levels and you get much better sound.

If your mic or camera have physical lowcut filter (I sure Sony camera has), use it on set is the best way to get much better audio.

i just want to say a huge thank you to you both (and now all your crew who help create the videos and your families too) I found you in at a very low point in my life; the "First Class OVERNIGHT TRAIN Georgia to Azerbaijan (scary border crossing)" episode in early 2019... I was working on getting out of an abusive (not physical thank God!) marriage. I found you guys again later that year ... can't recall the exact video. I know it was an Italy one. Then I found your Antarctica video series then I realized I had seen a few of your others and followed. As you know it was 2020, I was still in that relationshit... Thanks Dane Cook for coining that term. and finally realized I deserved better and you FRIENDSHIP and LOVE helped me to see the light your videos helped me to escape and finally I left. YOU BOTH INSPIRED ME TO DO WHAT I WANT TO DO... EXPLORE... MEET THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD!. I had the wanderlust built into me as a little girl living in Germany (my dad was Stationed in Minze, Germany US Army) and I was reignited... Since I have added 10 new countries to my list and in 2024 I am taking a Transatlantic cruise from NYC to Rome and getting off with only a room for that night! I have saved about 17K in the last 3 years and I am going to explore Europe, solo as a 37 yr old woman! Can I just say thank you so much for your videos. Been a fan of yours for about three years now. I’ve introduced my whole family to you all. I am in the states recovering from an infection right now. I Was living in Costa Rica and about to be on my way to Guatemala to live and work for the next three years. Was diagnosed with three bacterial infections and am trying to recover before heading to Guatemala. It’s been so nice seeing your videos. The positivity from and getting to live vicariously through you always helps me.
