How do we KNOW that it's Odie? Maybe it's Garfield.

To those who like to crap on NASA and think it makes them seem smart - that image was taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter launched in 2009 and still going strong.
Btw it’s also photographed all the Apollo landing sites, showing everything left behind and even the trails of the astronauts as the shuffled through the lunar regolith.

Can anyone make out the orientation of the vehicle from this tiny dot? Well, what they REALLY need is a couple of photos from the Eagle cameras, which were said to be clear of the surface and ejectable and useable. But apparently they are not. As of midday Monday, there are no photos from the surface at all. The controllers have surely tried everything by now. There is too much damage or too little bandwidth (from antennas pointed down) or too little electricity from the toppled solar collectors. Likely some combo of all these things.
Better luck next time, IM. The "stars" were not in your favor on this one.

Good choice of music. If the mission is confirmed dead, Mozart's Requiem would be great for send off.
