This video is about A350 xwb 1000 vs 777x. Specifically, the A350-1000 vs the 777-8, contenders as Qantas Project Sunrise aircraft. The A350 is the newer more efficient airplane while the 777-8 is an update of Boeings ever popular 777. As of now, the A350-1000 seems to be in better shaqpe already living up to its performance guarantees. Airbus has announced upgrades that will allow the airplane to fly further by 2022. Boeing on the other hand has yet to even rollout its 777-8 and has postponed its development. However, which is best in your opinion? And do you come to the same conclusion as me? Let me know in the comments below!

In my opinion the A350 and A380 are the most comfortable long haul aircraft for passengers. The A320 has been hands down the most comfortable for short and medium haul, when compared to the competition, and for decades at that. I'm not an airline economist but increasingly I admire the Airbus approach and philosophy. I believe they do more to promote safety and passenger comfort. For that reason they deserve to lead the present cosy duopoly. The A350 is superb.

Boeing 777-8 will be a game changer of long-haul flight.

The Airbus A350-100ULR To me should be good for Qantas in the Project Sunrise I hope they'll get through with Airbus soon!!!!

With both airplanes having long range and similar specification, the 777-8 vs A350-1000 comparison is certainly a tough one. However as efficiency and operating costs play a huge part in this equation, one aircraft just about edges the other? Which is it? Stay tuned to find out!

Very well done video, friend, but... I believe you were Airbus favored in your narration. The 351 is too limited by the Trent XWB engine. That engine is already maxed out, and even back during development, had to be pushed higher than originally designed for when airlines requested more weight on the 351. The only way that a 351 will make that distance is with too many sacrifices in payload to allow for the extra fuel that would be needed, or with a brand new engine, or by tapping GE for another GE9X variant. The 778 on the other hand is a beast than can carry it's full payload (including tons of extra cargo) at it's stated range. To top that off, the GE9X engine was designed to have the ability to increase the thrust far higher, if/when needed, say for a 771, 779LR, or new 77F, let alone "Project Sunrise." Unless Airbus can find a new engine, Qantas had better stick with Boeing, even if it means waiting longer.

Both their offers have been rejected by Qantas on price.

To me, both aircraft are the perfect candidates for "Project Sunrise".

Neither Airbus or Boeing is that concerned about Project Sunrise. It doesn’t make sense for either of to invest in upgrades for a 12 aircraft order.

a350-1000 all the way
Above all it exists while 778 still on the drawing board
With Qatar plan to swap to 779 and Emirates swapped to 789 I doubt if 778 will ever materialize

Never flown on either A350 or A380, and I am a Boeing fan, but.... The A350 seems superior in this case.

Proj sunrise. How many crews are on board. It's a 20 hrs plus flight. How long does the crew work? Is the food to be served on board still that fresh? What's the extra weight 4 potable water, toilet water, utensils, napkins, etc. is a 20 hr N/S flight practical?

With the present Max crisis, Boeing should really go low ball on price and get Qantas to choose it for project sunrise. Love this site and I have subscribed.

777 is designed to naturally accommodate a 3-4-3 configuration in economy, which is as efficient for airlines as disappointing for passengers.

Compare Qatar A350 with Emirates 777 in economy class. Which aircraft would you choose to fly 18 hours, from your passenger point of view?
