I soak in baking soda for 5 min then add a few cups of vinegar, soak for 5-10 min. Rinse well, let dry completely and I store all of my fruits and veggies in mason jars and they last for weeks. 😊 luv your info

Wow! Thanks for the tip and also thanks for showing us the difference between baking soda, vinegar and water. So all those years I've been soaking the vegetables and washing fruit in water to no avail. Why didn't we have this information 50 years ago? Oh gosh I know what a difference by now it would have made and I'm 64. God bless!

Can the solution be used only once, then thrown away, or can it be used for the cucumbers, the carrots, celery, pears, etc.? Is the length of time, the density, or some other issue the determining factor?

Excellent! Baking soda has been my go to for washing veg. I make sure to wear gloves when rinsing the foods off since the baking soda solution seems to dry my hands.

The problem with this is the majority of pesticides used now on crops are systemic and grow inside of the plant itself

I've been doing a white vinegar solution or a Himalayan Salt solution to soak fresh produce. I'm going to try the baking soda solution. I would love to see a Himalayan salt solution video to see effectiveness.

Try neem water as well, i got it at the store as veggie washer.
