Top News | BRS MLC K Kavitha wrote to CBI on Sunday, citing "pressing onerous engagements, duties and responsibilities towards the people of her state," as the reason for her incapacity to appear before the federal agency despite the ominous predictions that she would be taken into jail. As part of the continuing investigation into the infamous Delhi liquor scam, the CBI summoned her on Monday, as per the notices under section 41A of the CrPC, a few days ago. Kavitha, the daughter of BRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao, had also questioned in a letter to the CBI on Sunday why she was receiving notifications under Section 41A of the CrPC while prior notices were given under Section 160 CrPC.
