Wave incident normally on a perfect dielectric:
When a plane wave is incident on the surface of a perfect dielectric, part of the energy is transmitted and part of it is reflected. A perfect dielectric is one with zero conductivity, so that there is no loss or absorption of power in propagating through the dielectric.
