Tax Free? Didn't they just introduce a 9% corperate tax if the company makes more then AED 375000?

Dubai is NOT Tax free. There’s 5% VAT, 9% Corporate Tax, import taxes, service fees, ‘Knowledge Fees’, Municipal Charges, etc etc all on top of massive INFLATION. Income Tax has already arrived in the Gulf (Oman) and will inevitably come to Dubai. If you have kids you need AED80, 000 (€20, 000) minimum per child, per year.

1200 euros per month for a villa??? You mean a small hut??

Es erschliesst sich mir nicht, wie man in einem Ort wie Dubai wohnen und leben möchte, mal abgesehen von der (noch) existierenden Einkommenssteuerbefreiung. An einem Ort an welchem die mittlere Tagestemperatur im Sommer über 40 Grad Celsius beträgt und es in der Nacht nicht kühler als 25 oder 26 Grad wird.
Ein Ort der von Touristen überschwemmt wird, wo alles was man sieht Beton und Wüste ist, wo massenweise billige Arbeitskräfte brutal ausgenutzt und ausgebeutet werden, ein Ort wo man sich an der Öffentlichkeit nicht küssen darf, wo sexuelle Kontakte mit Personen, mit denen man nicht verheiratet ist und auch Homosexualität gesetzlich illegal sind und man dafür entsprechend Haftstrafen erhalten kann oder Schlimmeres, sogar fluchen kann offenbar gesetzlich geahndet werden und Alkohol darf nur in lizenzierten Einrichtungen getrunken werden. Man darf nicht in der Öffentlichkeit tanzen, auch das kann zu rechtlichen Konsequenzen führen, die Frauenrechte dort sind nicht der Rede wert (Es soll vorkommen, dass Frauen, die vergewaltigt wurden, dafür gesetzlich bestraft wurden, weil es sich beim Vergewaltiger nicht um ihren Ehemann gehandelt hat, da unehelicher Sex ja verboten ist!), es gibt strenge Vorschriften betr. der Bekleidung von Frauen, während der Ramadanzeit darf man draussen weder essen noch trinken, wenn man dabei erwischt würde, kann das auch übel ausgehen, wer mit etwas Cannabis erwischt wird, muss gar mit der Todesstrafe rechnen.
Influencer dort, müssen eine Lizenzvereinbarung eingehen gegenüber der Regierung, dass sie sich keinesfalls kritisch über diese äussert, bevor man überhaupt Videos etc. veröffentlichen darf, es existiert keine Pressefreiheit, kritische Journalistinnen und Journalisten müssen mit Strafen rechnen.
Alleine schon Indem man das Emirat bereist, sendet man im Grunde genommen indirekt die Botschaft aus, dass man die politische Unterdrückung oder Menschenrechtsverletzungen vor Ort dort toleriert.
Ausserdem gibt es dort nichts historisch Interessantes zu erleben. Noch vor einigen Jahrzehnten war dort nur ein kleines Fischerdorf. Fast alles was man heute dort sieht wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit mit dem Schweiss, Blut und den Tränen billiger, ausgebeuteter Arbeitskräfte erbaut. Alles wirkt künstlich und oberflächlich auf mich. Wie eine surreale Scheinwelt.
Mich persönlich zieht es somit überhaupt nicht dorthin. Sorry Kai. Da finde ich deine Videos über das Investieren in ETF's schon wesentlich interessanter als solche Berichte über Dubai.
