I have CQuartz Lite on my CX-5. I got just about 18 months out of it here in Oklahoma. I did 2 coats of that. And just regular hand washing. Now I only use Lite and recommend it to everyone. The price point is unbeatable and it did just as well as UK3.0 that I had before with a much easier install.

I applied CQuartz UK 3.0 on my new GMC in April. I occasionally top it with a variety of sprays, but after 9 months, the paint is still incredibly hydrophobic. Touchless car washes every week with hand wash about every 6 weeks. Lots of salt on the road here in Wisconsin...

Scott, last November you experimented with ending your video with by showing the hood with failure times overlayed as a graphic. It was really helpful. Would you consider adding that back into your videos on a more regular basis?

i would love to see you try different forms of chemical decontamination to see if any coatings would come back to life; as well as carpro reset or descale. and as always keep up the great videos!

As a ceramic spray coating user for the past 12 or so months, using the various offerings from TW, Adams and Griot's... I would encourage you to use a more strict assessment of determining Weak and Failed. Living in the Pacific NW, we get a lot of days of variable wetness. Actively raining, not raining but road is still very wet, road is dry but lots of dirt build-up. What I'm noticing is that once the water 'sheets' even for a second... stuff starts collecting on the paint surface. Then after dirt and grime begins collecting, it's just a snowball effect. So for me, most everything on the hood would be 'Failed'. Weiruxin is weak, and only the CQuartz products and NanoAge 9H are still effective.
Of course, that's just one person's opinion... but for most users it would be a more realistic real-world evaluation.

Got turtle wax hybrid spray ceramic. Get about 3-4 months here in south texas. I always half the durability time stayed on products anyways. Always enjoy watching your videos and tests man. Thanks for the real world info.

@ScottHD - I think your Master spreadsheet has a minor error. You show Nano Bond 9H in this test, and it is blocked off on the spreadsheet as being on this test, but it's not listed in the products. I think you just need to move the shaded box on the spreadsheet to Nano Age 9H, which is the one that is on this test, right? Nano Bond 9H is not on this test, is it?
