What a fantastic service you are providing Scott. I really appreciate the time you put into your testing - the videos are only a small slice of your dedication - many thanks! I’ve only used Avalon King, mostly because of the cost factor and all my customers have been very happy with it but the longest ‘test’ is 5 months and so far it is performing very well. I’m really interested in the KB Diamond Plus!

I keep going back to CQuartz Lite. I’m getting great longevity and it’s easy to apply for a ceramic. I’ve started putting it on my friends vehicles that aren’t good with upkeep. 6 months on a daily driver and it’s still very hydrophobic. I got 16 months on my vehicle the first time I applied it.

These tests are really interesting. I still remember the days when I washed and waxed my car & motorcycle every weekend. Back in those days, even the best of waxes never lasted past the one month mark. Shiney was the best one could hope for. Hydrophobics was not even on the radar... Ah, the good old days.
By the way, what ever happened to the days when car waxes were tested at the county fairgrounds using lasers?

Been installing Adam's Graphene ceramic coatings for a while but recently went back to Carpro cquarts UK 3.0 due to the testing I've seen on this channel. Thanks for everything you do for the detailing community Scott!

I have UK 3.0 on my car (black Genesis G90). Been about 7 months. Still performing really well but slightly less hydrophobic now. What hasn't changed is the reflectivity, which is still amazing. Looks like it's dipped in glass. Hydrophobically, about like how it is in this video. Kept outside 24/7. I wash it regularly, every two weeks or so, and use carpro echo at 1:20 as a drying aid/QD or light waterless wash maybe every 3-4 weeks.

Hydrophobics is one thing, but the best part for me is the gloss. It constantly has extreme gloss even if the car has not been washed for a couple weeks.

My plan for now is to do full decon wash at about the one year mark. I am also debating polishing it at that time with carpro essence plus.

Bro, thnk you for continuing to do this. Really helpful. I've been on CQuartz 2.0 and it's been great. Car goes through quite hot Summers and average Winters. Car is mostly parked outdoors. I apply it during Spring and basically forget about it for a year. Re-apply again the next Spring lol.

Cquartz is the Milwaukee Tools of ceramic coatings. Nothing they make is bad, typically they perform in the top 3 in any test you throw at them, but they are pricey.

I used CQuartz UK 3.0 on my Miata this past season and interestingly it held up all season on the side of the car that was repainted and has clear coat, but on the trunk, hood and other side that is still single stage paint with no clear coat it didn't hold up very well. It'd be interesting to find a single stage painted panel with no clear coat and try a longevity test like this.

I haven’t used none of them. But wow amazing there claims to fame is not what I thought. I’ll stick to what I know works and that my dura coating graph-flash. 89.99 for 60ml bottle. Has been doing great at my 4 month mark and looks like no signs of stop. Keep up your hard work and thank you Scott for all you do buddy lots of work goes into these videos. Your a amazing guy.👍🏻

Yes my experience has been very similar with fusso coat soft 99 the black original container. It started to lose its crazy hydrophobic properties at around 5 to 6 months but that is with me driving the car everywhere and being outside 24/7 getting washed thoroughly once a week by hand but it was still on there at the 10 11 and 12th month mark albeit it quite a bit weaker in the hydrophobic category. Hard to beat the performance for the money. The Turtle Wax 35th anniversary ceramic paste wax was way easier to use and remove and looked
amazing! The problem was after around a month or 2 it started to fade unless I topped it with their new formula ice spray wax or Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray coating. If I did that once a month it was pretty amazing!

I'm noticing that the Fusso started to show signs of spot failure in the last video and I reckon this video confirms it.
I have seen it get the same patchy results in other tests before too. Look to the 2 vertical areas on either side of the square to see what I mean. When the square is flooded out, the middle recovers and sheets off but the outer edges stay flooded. Still brilliant for what it is and why I bought it. I have been following the favoured UK method of pairing it with Sonax Brilliant Shine as a topper every month or so. Ridiculous hydrophobicity.

Bought a few bottles of the turtle Wax when it was 5£... Amazing to think something so easy to apply had some serious play with the pro stuff

I tried a Turtle Wax spray coat and it was basically gone from paint in about 2 weeks. Mind you, that was when I noticed. Who knows when it actually failed.

Oddly, it remained on the glass and plastic surfaces noticeably longer.
