so we have a oxygen regulator that is awesome finding. now im curious about athlete that do altitudes training then do a race in low altitudes. that mean the cells in their body in altitudes have a abundant HIF1a. so is there is an correlation between HIF1a to performance of the athletes ? how fast HIF1a degrade by Proteasomal Degradation ?

Phenomenal work, small molecules to block the PH enzyme will dramatically aid anemia and CKD patients.

While reading carbohydrate metabolism(particularly glycolysis) we get to know that as tumours grow exponentially blood vessels are unable to suffice their need(of O2) and thus condition of Hypoxia exists..so they switch to anaerobic glycolysis(to get energy) what happens now is that those cancer cells get adapted to hypoxic glycolysis (via involvement of HIF)
HIF then increases production of more glycolytic enzymes and GLUT(Glucose Transporters)...
But as already mentioned cancer cells(are cells after all) so they need proper vascularization to survive(to get blood and thus more oxygen)..so scientists thought of using drugs which can inhibit it-(vacsularization strategy used by cancer cells)(so that it will stop cancerous cells from growing)
What recent advances has happened in that domin?(cause it too deals with hypoixc condition and seems to be quite decent way of tackling cancer cells) did anything happend in this regard !

what about prokaryotic cells, do they express HIF-1a (or similar gene)? do anaerobic bacteria highly express this gene? what happens if we silence or introduce this gene to anaerobics?

Is there any idea or information about, How long the HIF1a degradation process would take, In high or low levels of (O2) ?
What an amazing discovery. Once again, congratulations to the 3 scientists and all people involved in it 👏👏🎉

Thanks for all the hardwork that these kind people do to both increase our knowledge and in way of that help humans to find better ways to get healthy...and after all science is best tool to know more than we did before(at least objectively speaking)..But other humans also need to understand it...and try to live life with more authenticity cause thats more realest way to feel and know what life means...
If anyone is interested please try to read -essay on truth on Wikipedia (it will help few of you, who are trying there best to know this universe as much as they can)

I'm so very interested in these findings but am not sure how this translates to breathing exercises like pranayama, hyperventilation, apneia, etc. Could someone here point me to any scientific papers, or their own opinions? Thaaannnkk :)

Thanks for efforts done to explore mysterious function of human, as a being created by god, and if with any gimmick to respond to environment, in scientific language of pure reason of god to improve universe of all beings.
