The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry is for computational protein design and structure prediction. David Baker, Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper took home the prize for their work using artificial intelligence models to revolutionize our understanding of the relationship between amino acid sequence and three-dimensional structure. The tools they’ve developed enable scientists to create entirely new proteins with never-before-seen capabilities.

The injection of the term AI in here is completely incorrect. Please edit the video. Their study in 2020 had nothing to do with AI and focused on a computational model, not using artificial intelligence.

Protein folding... a major leap in medicine. And a chance to make some new mistakes at massive levels.
I would like to see all the proteins in the genome and epigenome mapped. As well as in the gut bacteria. And in prions.

Hopefully this isn't a new disaster looming.
