If you knew how many years I've been struggling with wrapping my head around tritone's! Putting it in this context made it so simple for me.

Thanks very much putting these devices in sequence. Also, I grew up hearing this and took it as a normal
sound.

Ordinary Pain. Last verse of the A section "Can she take with her the pain she brought you back?" Really pronounced there when he sings the word "back." But he uses it throughout the song in a few different places. I could talk Stevie all day. I'm his biggest fan..living or dead.

Hi, this is really helpful since I am trying to practice and understand passing chord like the tritone sub. Would really appreciate if there are more videos like this about other passing chords/ chord sequence (like a diminshed to minor, a secondary dom7 to major). It is much better to learn these progressions in famous songs context with you playing only the piano like this. Thank you

Unfortunately I'm not trained in music... But I have been a Stevie Wonder fan all my life.. I never understood from a technical point why his harmonies and chords are so addicting and hypnotic, but I'm sure it has something to do with what ever you are explain in these videos

Hey, can anyone help me with this chord at 1:51 E7≠5 What does this not equal sign mean? Neither natural, nor flat, nor sharp, I assume. Or, it's maybe a dominant chord without a fifth?

I really like your videos man! Though, could you maybe avoid such a hard stereo pan on the Rhodes? Sounds really trippy through headphones! Other than that, wonderful content!!!
