I’ve been rocking my 42 C2 OLED for nearly 2 years now and it’s been an absolutely beast of a TV! The screen is still as bright and crisp as the day I got it with no noticeable degradations whatsoever. The only flaw that I found with it were the underwhelming speakers so I grabbed an Apple TV 4K and a pair of 2 full sized HomePod 2s, plugged them through the eARC HDMI port so that any sound that comes out of my TV (and anything connected to it like the PS5 or Series X) goes out of the HomePods instead. Best minimalist Dolby Atmos set-up ever ❤

LG Flex 42 user here. Love it so far! The only thing that could tempt me to upgrade would be a (hypothetical) Flex 48 with LG's latest OLED panel.

I've had my C3 for a few months as well. It's perfect for gaming on my PS5 and works just as well as a monitor for my Mac Mini M2 Pro at 120hz. A bit pricey, but quality will cost if ya want the best or pretty close to the best. I don't use the built in speakers as I use studio monitors for sound. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I have this TV and I also use it as a monitor and it’s great. However, the LG C4 is right around the corner and LG has stated that the 42 inch model will be significantly brighter and come with 144 Hz. So it’s definitely worth checking out the newer model as it’s expected to have some significant upgrades.

Hello. I will tell you my experience. I have had the OLED42C3 since April 2023 without modifying the hidden menu. I use it as a PC monitor for 8 hours a day for 5 days a week and have absolutely no signs of burn-in. The automatic dimming is still active, but it stopped existing for me after calibrating it in brightness, contrast, gamma and other options within the main menu with the control that came with the TV, so no dimming is no longer observed when maximizing or minimizing the browser windows or when changing from dark or medium to light or bright tones, or vice versa. LG has an option within the menu to configure the HDMI port as a PC and not as a TV, in this way other different configuration options appear that are optimal for a PC monitor. It's just a matter of configuring it to your liking like any monitor. I have another PC with a 32" LG Ultrafine 32UL950-W IPS 4k monitor and although this is an excellent native monitor, I feel much better with this 42" OLEd. Regards

What kills oled monitors for me is the anti glare coating they put on almost all of them. The glossy c3 screen and the fact that it has all the functions of a tv make this a no brainer. I got an adapter and have it mounted on an arm desk. It's amazing

What a surprise to see this video. I’m using this as my monitor. I have a 65” Samsung QD-OLED in my living room, but this LG is in many ways better for gaming. As you said, its versatility is fantastic!!

I feel better about not having my gaming on it, great video. Well said! Your points are excellent. I enjoy your channel greatly!!

By the way, I forgot about the exclusive 3.5mm headphone port on it…until your video!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hi mate, thanks for the review, I have a Xbox series x and want a c3 but I’ve heard a lot of people having problems with the c3 using the Xbox series x, it’s a display issue where it goes into low resolution when using the Xbox series x, have you had any problems with the c3 when using the Xbox series x? Thanks

Love mine but it’s way to big for desk use for me, and I can’t play cod on a big screen, I use my 27” monitor for shooters and the 42” oled for story based games

I have the C3 in a 65, it’s amazing but the only complaint with it is there’s no Dolby vision support with PS5 unlike the series X/S

Great video.

Is that an IKEA hack desk with a 25” depth? If so, do you feel it’s deep enough for a screen this size?

It's been a month since I've had my 42" LG C3 and I absolutely love it when playing games but wow when watching 4K or HD content it is amazing that I had to order another one, I was going to go for a 65" but was happy with the 42" for gaming and entertainment I got another 42". I love your videos, one of the main reasons I decided to go with the 42" in the first place.

Can’t believe that you had nothing negative to say about it? It must be a pain not being able to set up both the colors, contrast saturation etc yourself? I noticed that you had to pay for this as a service at the store prior to delivery.
How did they manage with the colors are they not too glaring?

What is the refresh rate like? How many more does it reach in code, how many milliseconds are they? I have not found this info other than that it has 120 hz
