Australian pro surfer Mikey Wright saves woman struggling in Hawaii surf

Australian pro surfer Mikey Wright has been filmed saving a beachgoer who was struggling in the surf on Oahu’s north shore. Wright, who was in Hawaii for the Pipeline Masters event, posted footage of the rescue on Instagram with the caption: “hold my beer”. Although other beachgoers could be seen trying to help and reach the struggling swimmer, the current was too strong until Wright stepped in

She's lucky he was there, A pro surfer understands the currents and the particular place where he is better than most. I hope she appreciated just how strong those currents can be and sometimes it is best to stay out.

Now that bloke is a hero, like all other heroes they don't do it for a paid job then be called heroes (life Guards Are heroes) Its absurd, real heroes see a problem and put their lives on the line to help.
I call a world wide heroes day, not just a few selected, but a national day of normal people seeing a problem and stepping into to aid, In this case as with many, a life was saved by a very heroic man, love to you from OZ. x Its people that come together, no mater your skin when we only need more people like this.

I watched a man’s dead body get pulled out from Galveston Beach in Texas on Oct 5, 2020 - the undertow overpowered him and he unfortunately drowned. It was very traumatizing to witness the helicopters 🚁 looking for his body and the two authorities pulling him to shore. I’ll never forget seeing this. The ocean 🌊 is powerful and will take you it if it wants to. So happy the person was rescued here in this video.

Experienced surfers really are impressive people, their courage, skill and knowledge of the ocean is amazing. I’ve seen a few surfer guys rescue civilians in peril, they make an incredibly dangerous rescue situation look easy. Bravo 👏👏👏
