I just wish he would have more consistency in his movies. Like in this movie she says it’s a long drive back to Atlanta but later on people are popping back and forth like they’re teleporting. The dialogue is a little bad. People walk in their homes and it’s dark outside and looks like daytime inside. I just wish more people were in the writing room with him.

It's always struggle love for black women. Like his show Sistas, why can't a black woman just have a happy, peaceful, loving relationship with a man. It seems like he gets his ideas from other movies and shows pieced together.

Why do people watch Tyler Perry movies and then complain? I'm not big on Hollywood, but I admire Tyler Perry for his achievements.
Why don't we have more black film directors? There is so much criticism of Tyler Perry and his movies.
What I really don't understand is why no one talks about the portrayal of black folks in hip hop.

The beginning of this movie was an example of the Mad Black Woman to the tenth power! Tyler Perry is simply giving us what we crave. An anger reliease. We see it over and over again in his movies. The build-up of anger and then an exposive release. We are angry people, but we don’t feel it is acceptable to express anger so Tyler does it for us in his movies.

There are a lot of voices out there and Tyler has a very particular and familiar voice with a faithful audience. To look at his work and complain about what it is NOT is REDUNDANT, at this point. This man can not, will not and has not spoken to the fullness of the Black experience. However, he does HIS thing and there are a hoards of folks who relate to his characters and their predicaments.

It would be interesting to see TP make a movie about the down low community and what that looks like. I’m sure he has a great insight into that demographic.

Mostly everything that happened in this movie is exactly whats going on in the real world. Couples displaying happy, healthy relationships on platforms and behind closed doors ends up being just like this, no matter how hard the women try to convince outsiders, this is usually the end result. The networks that are giving roles to black actors/actresses are mostly comedy or something sinister.

I hardly watch any regular TV shows now because it's so fake, that I would rather watch Nollywood movies because they are more realistic than American.
