passed out at HMS Raleigh to this as guard in October 1975 wish i was still in but to old now but lots of good memories of 21 years done.

Guaranteed to bring a smile and a few damp eyes, especially when played by the worlds greatest military band. The sound track of my 22 year career from Ganges, to Raliegh where i left from, still the best job i ever had and still in touch with old shipmates.

This will always make me think of my late Grandfather from my mother's side of the family.
He served on the battleship HMS NELSON during the second world war & then served on the USS HELENA after the war.
Sadly he died suddenly back in 1996.
My Grandmother also served during the war. She was a WREN at Portsmouth Naval Base (now HMS NELSON). She was an Officer's steward.
She's 99 years old & remembers everything she did during the war.
