TRAIN DRIVER'S VIEW: Oslo to Stockholm

In this Train Driver's View video we embark on a journey from Oslo to Stockholm. Crossing the border on this Capital to Capital journey. The graphics on the first leg is missing the final part Kil-Karlstad we did however find the video on that part so it's added in this one. This video is two videos stiched together to make for a complete train trip.

This is with the ASEA Rc6 locomotive which has a Vmax of 160 km/h.

I visited Stockholm 20 years ago, and took ferryboat from Stockholm to Helsinki.

Last station in Norway before the frontier is MAGNOR at 1:15:24. The border comes at 1:16:59. No fireworks. Just a plain old sign.

In 1982 - today's 40th anniversary - I bought an Inter-Rail-Ticket and started my journey from Germany through Northern Europe. On 82-07-24 I traveled from Stockholm to Oslo ... Next day to Malmö. A wonderful memory. But traveling was less convenient than it is today. The trains were overcrowded. Passengers lay in the luggage nets ... It was a sunny and hot summer in Sweden and Norway. Thanks for sharing this video.
