I spent years fighting the "Dad" personality, but here I am, 35 years of age, one kid, and I would totally hang out with these guys.

“I don’t wanna see your nephew show me a fish” too real

This skit actually seemed genuine. I feel like I knew a few guys who were like that

The synced phone ringing and checking every pocket in the cargo shorts was fantastic

The way he says “Oh sure, that sounds good!” at the end there is 100% genuine. He wasn’t acting.

My dad. Every day. Where ever he is. I am actually glad he lives in a small town because people know him and they give him their time, I think if he lived in the city he would be very lonely and people probably wouldn't take the time to have these conversations with him, or someone would take him because he is as trusting as a child with no stranger danger skills.
I admire his ability to make friends where ever he is, its sweet. He always remembers people, goes back to "drop in and say hi", has favourite check out people. Always tells me about his new friends and points them out or introduces me to them in the street. He is a lovely man really. ❤

The older I get the more I realize this shit is good living. Having hobbies and projects, finding friends that enjoy it too. Thats some golden memories right there.

Genius! Because it is completely spot on. I didn’t have a dad, but I grew up in the neighborhood of dad‘s like this and they showed me what a good father and husband could be. Brilliant.

My dad goes on solo camping trips in his RV and always says he makes a bunch of friends on the campsites. Pretty sure it’s just a bunch of these folks 😂

But...the deciding factor of friendship will be what football team they watch.

Oh my gosh. Brings back memories of my dad at the hardware store, garden center or Home Depot, Lowe’s or a sports game talking to the guys next to him.
Bored me to tears….Dad, hurry up please..I’m hungry …And Dad was always ready to talk to the guys when doing yard work or woodwork in the garages …God forbid if all the dads were attacking their lawns the same time .. the side neighbors, and the ones across the street and two houses down on either side. Someone always had to go get beer…and if the Cowboys or Astros or Rangers or Longhorns were at it on TV…….forget it.
I wish I was as gregarious as he was….God bless daddy and all those good men, most now gone.
Good wholesome dependable hardworking men and women and upright neighbors.

omg - the dad grunt, holding the phone away from the face with reading glasses, checking the pockets & not knowing where the phone is with an AUDIBLE ringtone - do you know my dad??
