Why Eminem Destroyed Will Smith

Why did Eminem diss Will Smith? Before Eminem's rap career took off, he ended up meeting Will Smith and played him his song called, "Just the Two Of Us," after Will listened to the song he told Eminem that he was either gonna be the biggest flop in Hip Hop History or that he was going to be the biggest thing that we have ever seen in Hip Hop, and Eminem never forgot that. However, after Will Smith accepted an award for winning rap album of the Year, he bragged about how he didn’t swear in any of his songs, which many took as a shot at Eminem who was being criticized in the media for the amount of profanity he used in his songs. Eminem responded by releasing the song, The Real Slim Shady, and he also said in interviews that he dissed Will Smith because he felt his swearing showed a passion for rap and he also wanted to defend rappers like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg who were also known for cursing in their records. When Will heard The Real Slim Shady, he responded with the song Mr. Nice Guy and said Eminem's diss will never bother him and that everyone should leave him alone because he's a nice guy.
