Marv was a Detroit rapper/ battle rapper like most of the people and extras in the 8 mile movie a lot of people including Marv have spoken about how everyone from the D got a wage from 8 mile and paid well at that he has even spoken on the battle and said eminem heard what he said and he said to the crew to get the mic on I need to reply to this and then he slaughtered marv ( marv also said he learnt from the movie that drinking honey helps your throat as eminem was recording and spitting bars for days straight he was starting to lose his voice so that is why his mic was ment to be off for they battles to get it filmed and they would add his voice later if that was getting used on the film or as an extra for the film and it was on the extra ( can't remember if it was an extra dvd or just bonus bits on the dvd )
