Just for people to know. This works perfectly on console, and if you buy the item from the vendor it still works, at least on console. Since you have a sell button, you don't need the old graphics trick.

I tried this and couldn't get it to work at first. First off you have to be in Hell or Nightmare else you will loose money. The affix Hawkeye doesn't change the price at all. Some throwing weapon and bows you loose money.

The gheeds reduces the repurchase cost not increases sales,
the hawkeye prefix also provides attack rating based on character level but isn't profitable afaik.

small table i've been making up searching :

Grinding ancient sword : 24, 936 profit (14% gheed lvl 87, 35k sale)
Fools rune bow : 20, 920 profit (14% gheed, charsi, lvl 87, 34, 816 sale)
Fool's Naga : 20, 477 profit (13% gheed, lvl 96, 32, 498 sale)
Grinding great maul of might: 15, 791 profit (13% gheed, lvl 96, 21, 611 sale)
Grinding short war bow : 12, 398 profit (13% gheed, lvl 96, 16, 467 sale)

I suggest you buy/sell items to Fara in act 2, where you have the extra 10% price reduction for doing Radament's quest.

Any idea if this item can be found in nm act 1 ? like its easier to find at lvl 45 as shop item ilvl is char +5 and areat summet says its an afex of ilvl 50.

still works on online mode as of 06/25/2024... thanks a lot... now i actually have gold to revive my merc hahaha

Even no need for gheeds, as it raises your profit just by aroumd 1500 gold.

I suppose the optimal profit margin is around 25k.

hard part is finding that good item to sell, if it sells for max, then u will have to pay over max to get it back and if u buy from shop they seem to only be worth like 9k gold. seems better to just do cow run and sell stuff

Doesn't work on xbox series s, when I switch to legacy mode it doesn't switch on vendors. Just shows an x pop up on the icon when trying to switch to legacy on the vendor

i do exactly what you are saying but the value of the item dose not increase when i equip it and what is a scaling modifier is this hacks or something?item? if now one can help i dont think it works anymore

Do you think got fixed by Blizzard ? I did it so much today, and at some point the values were not lucrative anymore, I could only get less than I was buying it for.
