Oops, originally the video was going to be “20 levels of Pokémon Battles” but I changed it to 15 halfway through and forgot to redub the beginning lol

Cynthia round 3 from BDSP is a god. Fully IV and EV trained, competitive move sets and she has the AI on max. Its pretty brutal if you dont outlevel her.

I had an Ampharos in USUM that managed to tank PHOTON GEYSER from Ultra Necrozma and one-shot it with Dragon Pulse. I don't know what that sheep was smoking, but it became instant MVP from that point onwards.

I was so confused when I beat Ultra Moon, and went online to see everybody complaining about Ultra Necrozma's difficulty, as it was one of the easiest battles I've ever faced. Little did I know that the Pokemon I just thought looked cool (Zoroark, Sylveon, and Kommo-o) were as strong as they were lol

I challenge level 4 with Bugsy being the worst gym leader of all time. Blaine in Red and Blue has four high leveled Pokémon with horrible movesets and used super potions when they are at full HP. He’s not a threat in the slightest.

There are two other (imperfect) strategies for Yellow version Brock: leveling up a Nidoran till they learn Double Kick
Or a Butterfree with confusion.

I've beaten the ultra Necrozma with a Zorua. Red in Pokemon Gold and Crystal in 2001 was the hardest npc for me. 9 years old, only ferialgatr at Level 65, I've lost many battles

Level 20 Alakazam is possible. Abra evolves at 16, and if you trade that level 16 Kadabra, boom. Level 16 Alakazam. It's just a terrifying Pokemon to have at Level 20 in a Generation 1 game.

Bugsy's Scyther whipped my butt in heart gold but you're right about OG Gold and Silver haha

I fell like the Nemona battle right before you enter Mezagoza should have been on here somewhere. That was one of the very few battles I lost. Though I do understand why it’s not. It’s just a watered down Ultra Necrozma, where if you know it’s happening, it’s pretty easy, while if you don’t see it coming, it will screw you over.

In my original playthrough, the onix just whiffed a few moves and got water pulsed to death from my level 10 sobble :)

i didnt know people struggled with the onyx in sword and shield, it has a 4x weakness to two of the three starter and you can pick up chewitle on the early routes

Quick side note: You also have access to nidoran with double kick in Yellow. Which it gets around level 12.

It can be found on the same route as mankey.

(double kick usually worked pretty well for me against Brock)

I love how you included pokemon stadium. :D It's one of my favorite games out there. You're right! Stadium can be a "cruel mistress" so to speak. Especially seeing as the RNG seems to be relentless sometimes (most notably in round 2).

Allow me to nerd out a bit more: what really got me hooked on (both) stadium(s) was buying transferpaks and all the old skool games along with it. So I could build teams in r/b/y or g/s/c and then put them in stadium. And even trade with myself.

xD It's loads of fun and I often revisit it with a new challenge for building a theme team for stadium.

The first time I took on Brock I did it with a level 16 pikachu that had been painful to grind up.

The second time, I hit him with a Butterfree that knew Confusion and he went down like a bitch. I'm pretty sure in Yellow, that was a level 10 move. Absolutely trivial to get a caterpie up to that level.

Mimikyu was my savior in the ultra necrozma fight. Disguise took one hit. High friendship let it live on one hp. And thanks to rotoluck, I pulled off two let’s snuggle forever z moves. Mimikyu now holds a special spot in my heart since then.

During my first playthrough of Brilliant Diamond, I actually had to purposely lose against Cynthia so I can go back and level my team up some just so I can have a better chance to beat her.

I would’ve put the phantom zacian/zamazenta as lvl 15, since you don’t know its level and you can try to hit it, but you can’t.
