Polar Bears, Seals and Sea Ice: Coastal Resilience Collaboration Team May 2021 Meeting

Karyn Rode, a research wildlife biologist who studies polar bears and walrus with the USGS Alaska Science Center, and Lori Quakenbush, a wildlife biologist with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s Arctic Marine Mammal Program, led a discussion of a recent study that investigated the body condition of polar bears in relation to seals and winter atmospheric conditions in the Chukchi Sea.
