Star Citizen: Aegis Redeemer Gunship

nice walk around Pat. Looks like a decent ship. Was not too confident with this ship but being deployed from one would be amazing. Would be great on the journey back from wherever you just shot up, grabbing a coffee and chatting to other crew about how well the mission went. :D

Wait, those things you mentioned as being power generators or whatever, as I remember from TNGS those _were_ the shield generators. Unless that is no longer the case, considering that the ship stats page is always subject to significant change (while the intent of the ship is not) you should be able to comment that this is a rather defensively strong ship.

The design, with the accessible/repairable redundant shield generators and the focus on turreted guns seems to be especially defense-oriented.

The ship interiors seemed much larger while on TNGS.  I'm sure this size is appropriate for the function, but it caught me off-guard when seeing the finished product.

BEAUTIFUL ship :) Imagine the sense of accomplishment when you finally can purchase one of those in-game (Not with real money). I have really high hopes for Star Citizen, I wish if we can skip 2015 all together and jump into 2016 so we can actually have this game. LOL.

During the fps demo, there was an orange energy layer between the two engines. Any idea about the explanation for that new addition? It looked neat but I just understand its purpose. It didn't look like your conventional thruster, as it was projecting in between the engines vertically.

The Redeemer has a very space efficient, functional and well executed interior. It's a shame that its hugely cumbersome engine are so limited in utility. They can't assist in landing VTOL. They can't Strafe. Their inability to rotate side-ways like the Connie also means that they'll also likely have serious problems with Yaw. The ship relies on maneuvering thrusters for everything. The vector-something-something engines look cool but that is it. They do not help with the supposed function of delivering and covering troops, and as a result they needed to add a boarding ship to the Wave 4 ship poll - Shimapan would have been all the boarding ship we needed. It still could be.
I love the Redeemer, but I hate it too.

Six marines isn't alot. A full squad is at least 13 guys including the squad leader, unless you follow the Gruppe model (8 guys).

This 6 people thing is like Seal Team 6/SF infiltration team. If that's what they want tho, they should create a separate ship to transport regular grunts or give us an option to add at least 2 more seats.

Thanks for posting this! One bit of feedback though. I don't know what type of controls you are using but the quick jerky movements are not doing anything positive for the video. Makes it hard to watch, at least for me.

A bit shame of the price. else it would be a nice addition. But 250 and even 265 for an package its to much compare towards the Connie the tali or the Banu. they have all the same price range and give you more ship than the redeemer. Make no mistake i like it alot but i do not think it is worth compare the other same sized ships the amount of money.

wait a moment, they have bathrooms and showers, but how do the clothes get washed ? lol like wear the same suit for years and just shower and jump back into it, yummy

You need to stop shaking your mouse around when showing stuff off, it's not a cursor so don't treat it like that. Got motion sick half way through and stopped the video.
