A very quick look at the new Redeemer Gunship doing what it is made for. I get a very MI-24 Feeling form this ship :D This is just a preview really as we'll be employing these in the Rebel Racoons and in PTU well we don't have the setup to really put it through its paces. but once this patch goes live expect much more!

I think it is fair to say the Redeemer and Ares have changed the face of ship combat in Star Citizen. If I see one of these things coming at me in my MSR it’s time to “burn and run”.

Every year there comes a ship that reeks terror on the verse, until it is nerfed.

This ship was a long time coming. It won a contest where fans designed a starship that would be put into the game. The contest was too early in the development process where metrics, sizes & style guides hadn't been set. Other ships ended up doing that original dropship role better. So what to do with the Redeemer? Turn it into a gunship!

And it's badass! For good or bad, it maintains the look of the original. But it hits hard and fits that gunship role. Fans have waited since 2014 for this ship. It turned out better than imagined.
