Yes. Amen. That is a full-orbed, healthy view of Scripture.

Then why does TGC believe in ordaining women as pastors?

Except all the parts of the Bible we now largely ignore because we've evolved socially

Yes, the word of God is the final and ultimate authority

Awesome. What one good thing God showed me years ago was seeing Eccl.4:4 niv, for the first time! God broke some plates on the floor forever for me with that one.
Sola Scripture. Thank you God.

Funny. The definition of Sola Scriptura changes depending upon which one of the 47, 000 different prot denominations is claiming it, and the particular argument used against it….

It’s self refuting and anti biblical.

If the bible is the final authority where did the bible gain it’s authority? From the magisterium of the Catholic Church no less.
Had the magisterium not kept the Faith alive through teaching and tradition for 300 years after Christ there wound never have been a bible. Additionally it was the magisterium of the Catholic Church under the tutelage at the Holy Spirit that determined what went into the bible and once the canon was decided declared it inerrant. You cannot even have the idea of sola scriptura without acknowledging the teaching authority of the Catholic Church.
Bit awkward for those using the bible to attack the Catholic Faith, the faith that created the bible. Little wonder Protestantism continues to divide and divide as they try to find a way of explaining their tenets without acknowledging Catholics had it all sown up 1500 years before there ever was a Protestant.

Funny how you don’t mention authority from the Apostolic and Church Fathers, those taught by the Apostles through Apostolic Succession.

Tested against your interpretation of the authority of the bible. That's what this really means. And its a circular argument.

So why are there so many religions out there? I think God the Father is the ultimate authority. Not a book.

Christian scholars continually disagree about the meaning of many bible scriptures. The Bible is not clear.

Exactly. And then Catholics tell me "your denomination doesn't believe in the church."
Like, no, we just believe that the church needs to not contradict the Word of God.

That's right, the full authority of the Bible, based on various earlier myths, traditions, and religious beliefs, and describing multiple gods syncretized as one that has a lot of very human actions and statements... Much like every other man-made religion.

And then we're to properly interpret that trustworthy book. It's so trustworthy that one person's exegesis is another's eisegesis and thousands of denominations are sure they can't be wrong, even though many have diametrically opposing beliefs and interpretations.

Just keep your religion out of politics. Christianity is at odds with the values of a liberal society.

The Bible has no meaning at all unless interpreted by the Holy Spirit, except for the meaning of the carnal mind, which has no truth.
