Having dry skin is so much easier than having oily skin. I’ve had both — I was on accutane which gives you the dryest, flakiest, patchiest skin imaginable — and I’d take that over oily skin any day. It’s always easier to find products that add moisture to the skin (like a dewy skin tint/oil, a thick moisturizer, a hydrating primer, etc) than it is to find products that keep you matte. And it’s absolutely aggravating to always feel “dirty” and oily and like you just want to wash your face

YES. I've been SAYING that us oily skin people are so neglected by the skincare brands. 95% of skincare is for normal or dry skin. We can't even choose, we just take whatever we find for us. Skincare brands be like "Normal and dry skin people choose from our 20 products and oh, we have niacinamide or zinc product for you oily people" .
About that sunscreen. It is good for us oily people BUT it has color and I hate it. As someone who is really pale (no friends so I can't go to the beach to tan and relax 🥲 used to be tan almost all the time) I'm scared of this cream cus it's so dark brown so I can only use the tiniest bit of it which means that it won't work, won't protect me from sun. And I don't want to be called racist for this product cus my face would be much darker if I would use normal amount of that cream 🤠

Struggling with oily skin for years, it has gotten a little better since I’ve gotten older. In my late 40s now. But still a struggle especially in the warmer months. I use a salicylic cleanser in the morning, I make sure to tone and exfoliate, focus on products that are light weight and design for oily skin. Use a retinol at night also. My skin care routine primarily is made up of CereVe, Paulas choice, and Clinique. I tried the Bliss tinted sunscreen, but didn’t care for it as much as the Paula‘s choice resist tinted sunscreen for combo/oily skin. I’ve used that one for years and I’m pretty happy with it. The struggle is real, I share the pain.

Im 45, my skin is still oily and acne prone. Its impossible to find products for oily skin AND aging skin.

I ridiculously oily skin and it reacts to EVERYTHING. I’ve tried every product possible. The oil causes me to breakout but I cannot control the oil!

Faxxx like oliy skin products so freaking expensive tooo like compare the Cerave moisturizers for dry skin and oily skin like price and quantity don’t match up 😔😔

I just have to say, the Supergoop Mattescreen mineral sunscreen kept my oiliness nonexistent when I went to the Dominican Republic. I've been using it every day since that trip cause if it works in DR weather, I'll for damn sure be good in the states 💪🏽

Skin care recommendations based on my experiences
Dry skin- bubble level up moisturizer
Sensitive skin- the ordinary Matrixal serum
Oily skin- cerve gel clenser

I have oily skin so i use Cearve and Cetaphil but first lukewarm water then pat dry then cearve cleanser then Cetaphil hydrating lotion
