thank you so much for this video, I literally had to talk to customer support and watch 2 video in order to figure out that it will only connect to mobile hot spot and not wifi. Now I have to uninstall and install the dji app.

Thank you for doing what DJI doesn't, which is tell you how to connect the RC remote to your wifi network. No where in any of their instructions or videos does it tell you how to access the wifi network setting on the controller. Thanks again.

Thanks for this- literally have my mavic 2 zoom with smart controller and shocked to see it could not connect to my home router! With all due respect this is most definitely an issue with the wifi in the controller as all my home devices can connect to the router no issue. In the end had to tether to my phone to activate. Hopefully the firmware update resolves the wifi connection issues...

What kind of Wi-Fi security does it use what do you need to change your router to ? I just changed the settings for my Wi-Fi security and it now works unfortunately my new modem has a more up-to-date security but it doesn’t seem to be compatible with my smart controller

For everyone experiencing issues connecting to your mobile hotspot, please check if you have WPA2 personal enabled or WPA2/WPA3-personal, not just WPA3, as that most likely won't work.

Solution fix: down swipe and go to settings - for some reason, the Wifi is disconnected (although shows on) - click on your Wifi and enter password again, then go back to activation and it should now work perfectly! Looks like a bug!

DJI Mavic 3, some have the password on the front leg but mine doesn't have the wifi password. It was working for about 4 flights and now no connection. Says on the phone connected via the fly app and then another connection says password not correct. when I try to switch it tells me connected to another mobile device. Having no luck.

I noticed an Ethernet connector on the controller, seems to me you can just plug your router into that...

Hola, a mi me pasaba lo mismo. Pero he ido dentro del menú wifi a la configuración y en el menú "usar wifi en suspensión" cambie a opción "siempre" y ahora ya me funciona bien.

Hello, the same thing happened to me. But I have gone inside the wifi menu to the configuration and in the menu "use wifi in sleep" change to option "always" and now it works fine for me.

4 years later with a new DJI RC pro for the mavic 3 pro and still the same issue. Unbelievable. It would connect to my phone's Hotspot but not to the home's wifi

Connect - it fails
Turn leave device powered on for a while
Turn device off
Turn device on - it should automatically be connected, no hotspots or split 2.4/5GHz needed.
