Boy George is a criminally underrated singer/vocalist. Underneath all the glamour & show, he really is a very soulful singer.

George was ONLY 22, on national TV, with JOHNNY CARSON and he was cool as a cucumber! I've seen SO many people get VERY nervous with Carson, but George handled it SO well!

This was actually a very good interview. Even though Johnny doesn't seem sure what to make of him, he approached George in a respectful manner and asked some very honest questions. This was a bold conversation for the time, and of course George handled it beautifully.

Good old Carson could interview anyone and always gave them the respect they deserved. He was truly the king of the talk show circuit for many years.

He was so mature for his age. At 22, he can speak to Johnny Carson like that?! He knew who he was.

Boy George has a great voice! And Carson was the best ever. He set the bar high, and no one talk show host has yet to pass over it. He knew how to bring out the best in his guest and always made the guest the focus, not himself, the way so many hosts tend to do. Excellent interview.

Johnny is a class fellow of all souls. Being on the tonite show back like being on the center stage for America...Boy George gained much respect after spoken, humorous, ...and a fellow of all souls. Honorable People.

People have to remember that in 1984, this was unbelievably cutting edge. Johnny Carson was always interested in the new-now-next and this interview is SO much more candid and honest than the usual cr*p that passes for 'interviews' now. Great clip, thanks for posting!
