The thing about bullies is that they'll just find another part of her to pick on or just call her "fake" due to the plastic surgery. Her mother should have taught her how to love herself instead of changing yourself for others.

Back in Junior High had one kid who'd flick my ears, called me Eargore, then Igor.High school girls would step in defend me, they say That kid jealous cause I was a cutie 😳. I wanna thank that bully! He walked alone....I had Angels walking with me.😊

That surgery is going to make things worse. She's 11, she doesn't need it. Though she is bullied, she needs to know that she is beautiful just the way she is and doesn't need to change herself for the sake of others. This surgery was a horrible idea.

I have elf ears too but I stay strong and don't let their mean comments get to me because I know that's what they want to happen.

I had my surgery few years ago....i was 14 back then. My parents tried for sooo long to explain me that my ears were just fine and I should be thankful for everything i have and makes me special. I can't say i was bullied for them my whole life....I was just self concious since kindergarten about it. When I finally had the courage to show "myself" to the world...some people started to make remarks that affected me very negatively. I used to cry EVERY SINGLE DAY, i used to be jealous on those cute girls with buns and ponytails. My mom suffered a lot seeing me in this mood, she felt my pain, she felt hurt when i felt hurt. One day, i came from school crying and she also started to cry and arranged the surgery, with a big compromise - and that's because my parents didn't have enough money at that moment. Trust me, if you would be in this situation, you would see everything differently. The girl SHOULDN'T BE JUDGED based on the fact that she got the surgery and her parents DON'T DESERVE HATE because they allowed the procedure to happen. They didn't encourge the plastic surgery idea, they just wanted so see their daughter happy and confident. I never thought my mom would agree with this surgery, but seeing her child suffering inside made her change her conception. I wrote this very emotional..., i usually don't post comments but this time i really wanted to share my experience, our experience, because is something i shared with my SUPERWOMAN, with my mom.

People don't realize that bullies can ruin your self-esteem to the point that you hate that said "flaw". I don't see anything wrong with turning to surgery, if it ultimately makes you feel better, why not?
