The inserts are multi-use, btw. Meaning I encourage you to think outside the box. Paper racks can also hold small organizers of markers, or stacks of felt--wine storage can hold tubes of beads, yarn, and tons of other stuff.

The drawers are annoyingly overpriced. I will always feel iKea charges partially by the moving piece. But everything else is entirely worth it. I have a combination of some black and white cardboard file boxes with lids (I bought them from Ikea like 20yrs ago and am just putting them together) and grey fabric bins I got on Amazon--make sure to measure snd get the right size. I'm slowly painting demented rainbow fairies on the ones I have.

i don't know if they still sell this, but when my family bought our kallex unit, ikea also sold pet bed/hiding spot inserts! looked like one of their regular fabric drawers, but had a hole in the side that stuck out so that a small pet could get in and out of the insert easily!
