Proof: Radius is Perpendicular to a Chord it Bisects
Показать описание
In today's math lesson we go over a proof that the radius of a circle is perpendicular to a chord it bisects. So if you have some circle, and a chord which is bisected by a radius of that circle, then the radius must be perpendicular to that chord. The converse is also true, but we do not prove it here. The proof is simple and relies on the side side side triangle congruence postulate for its conclusion. I hope it helps.
