Exploring some atonal ideas.
I spent years improvising random stuff on my guitar. I had a lot of resistance towards structuring my music properly. I guess I just did not like repetition - every time I wanted to do something different, something new.
In the last couple years I embraced the repetition and start writing proper songs instead of just random guitar ideas. But sometimes I still like to just grab my guitar and play whatever - not trying to compose anything or structure anything. Not trying to make it sound "good". Not aiming for anything in particular. Simply being with my guitar, connecting any notes together without thinking.
I find this exercise essential to my playing style.
