I think this was the first video I watched on your channel… probably 7 years ago. Love it!

Well first of all use some potting compost and plants the seeds, covering with a light dusting of soil as they are so small, about half or 1/4 inch. Move the seedling tray to a well-lighted place where temperatures stay above 60 degrees Fahrenheit better to be average temperature 70 degrees. Cover the tray or pot with a plastic bag to make a nice warm place for them and mist (don't water) the seeds every other day. The seeds should sprout in 2-8 weeks. Keep them in a shady spot at first. Thanks!

@dhoorg It stayed in the greenhouse as it was warm, but say if its a cold month you could use a propagator, yes you can cover it with a clear plastic bag if you want but i usally don't. Water them 2-3 times a day on a hot day and 1-2 times on a cooler day. Misting the cutting (leaves and stem) will help keep it moist. Thanks again

I live in Australia where the air is dry in late summer. I made a mistake last year by not covering the leaves in a clear bag. The plant died before it could root. Your video inspired me to try again this year.

Good video. Thanks.

Great video. Thanks! I've read that spring is a good time for cuttings too. I'm planning on taking some today. It may be late spring, but I'm impatient, lol. Keep up the good work!

Yes it is, I only use the powder as I get higher success rates but you will still get them to strike without it, thanks

very nicely done! Is there a time of year when propagation works best for Lavender? I live in Canada and its summer here right now.

Thank you for sharing this video. Can you explain what you mean by keeping the soil moist. My lavender keeps turning black at the stem :(

Underneath the plant is too Woody and not producing as well anymore (which is why I want to make cuttings ...)and should I use heat under cuttings if doing in spring o help them along?
