Today we are going to take a dive into the important facts and figures from Elon Musk's 2019 Presentation last Saturday. This SpaceX Starship update was epic and we'll also cover over a little news of the week. Now there is actually a huge amount to break down here even after all of the information shared the previous week as Starship was being assembled for the presentation. So what have we learned over the last week and why is there so much excitement about this amazing vessel? Let's get stuck right into all this.

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the possibility of SpaceX refueling the future Starship/Super Heavy vessels using carbon capture to essentially make it a carbon-neutral process. I'd love to know what you all think about this. The amount of carbon needed would be staggering so I would assume the carbon capture facilities needed would be much much larger than anything of its type currently developed. Let me know what you all think. Enjoy and have an awesome weekend eveyone!

The best part of the presentation was realising he based his philosophy of design upon the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

He's not the World's best orator, but you can't deny him his vision of the future.

The extreme belly flop maneuver is only due to the low thrust of cold gas reaction control thrusters. Future designs might have powerful mehane oxygen rcs that should be able to turn without having to "overshoot", elon said.

Difference between Space shuttle and Starship is the Shuttle dropped its main tanks and carried very little fuel on board. Starship carries it's intermittent stage with it, the shuttle also had no intermittent stage unless you count the SRBs as the main stage. Shuttle carried its main engines with it all the way to orbit, then back to land. Starship will send 80% of its engine mass back to earth before pushing into orbital velocities and the main fuel tanks of the Shuttle were discarded every flight. These are completely different vehicles and I'm eagerly awaiting to see how this all unfolds.

This amazing technology is a refreshing change from the usual depressing diet of MSM news and it is great to see history taking place before our eyes. I look forward to this channel keeping me informed of future progress.

I live in The Netherlands so I was staying up to 4:30 AM, deep in the night to see the presentation.
I almost was able to see the Q&A live, but my body forced me to sleep... :(
But it was a beautiful presentation!

Currently studying as an actor in London at Drama school, I WILL be in the first Shakespeare on Mars! What play would it be...? Probably Henry V simply for the fitting famous phrase "Once more unto the breach dear friends, ONCE MORE!"

I built my tour bike using a quad-butted stainless frame, and it's barely heavier than a comparable titanium frame. Modern stainless is pretty amazing. You know the saying, steel is real.
