Late Autumn camouflage tests

Late Autumn camouflage tests with a combination of sparse trees, bright colours and fading light conditions.
The test mostly featured Flecktarn and Strichtarn camouflage patterns, with MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) trousers in all of them. One set of images features a quilted shooting jacket which I brought up in the grey-man camouflage video may work well in a rural setting, as evident from the video it does work well.
The combination of MTP and Flecktarn works surprisingly well in some of the photos, and becomes almost impossible to spot on the photographs, even when it is in centre-frame the entire time.

This video confirms my findings of Flecktarn too. I tested Flecktarn at night against Olive Drab, with orange sodium ambient light. Both items were placed against a hedgerow. Distance 25 meters, no front cover of bushes. The Flecktarn did better, dispite the lack of brown and light green in the hedgerow. The many shades and small leafs looked very similar to the Flecktarn pattern.
I am glad I own a large Flecktarn collection.

Great tests, some of those pics you can hardly see you if at all, the solid colours still work great too as they mix in and look like the shadow / gaps between tree.

Very good video. Talking from experience, if you are using camo like this in a combat environment, or even just on exercise, they work even better, since the viewer will probably be exhausted, hungry and sleep deprived. All of these will make the viewer less alert and so less likely to notice things.

I think camo is overrated, it works great if you stay still but the second you move it is obvious where you are regardless of what cam you are wearing. I say this as someone who hunts but animals and humans see things in the same way they detect movement. So if you are totally still without camo you may stand out but nobody is likely to notice you unless you move.
