Expanding LEGO Town Hall Modular Building!

Показать описание
I want to expand the LEGO Town Hall Modular Building by making it a double corner. In order to do that, I have to make two 16x32 corner modulars for each side of Town Hall. In this video I start by firing up both trains in the LEGO city, discuss my plans for the canal, transfer the required modulars to my build table, and then walk through the initial process of the expansion. Now that the expansion template is created we need to order the required parts and finish off the build... exciting times!

Hi Bricksie.
Thanks for all the great videos over the past few days. Super content and so much to enjoy.
Happy to see Jose there today. She's always such a help to you with all the part ordering.
The Town Hall looks super with the extension, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the development with the canal and Venetian houses.

Maybe use hinge joints on the inside to accommodate the angle?

Hi Mr. Bricksie, love your idea about adding to Town Hall 👍 but add doors to access to the rooms. Don't need to take it all apart. 🤗

Awesome, as always. Given Town Hall has windows on the back and is inset a little, you could always make the your filler building behind it a little less deep and put a courtyard in there accessible from the filler building. Might be a nice story feature.

You have the room, I would put it to the right of the stairs as you look up at them, to put in a pulley system. You can buy the pulley and line rather cheaply. Load up bigger baseplates downstairs, crank it up, tie off the line and unload.

Windows on the corners to make it more secure use the 1 by 4 folding plate

A side entrance on the sides of the extensions might look good? 🧐

With that amazing town hall, perhaps you can consider a Back to the Future inspired scene with a wire down from the clock and across the road - perhaps either with the Deloran approaching the wire, or with fire streaks for the tire marks? Just like the movie

Hey Bricksie great work hope you dont mind me giving some input

The trains on the Perimeter kind of throw me off it would be cooler and more accurate for the trains to be in the city with railroad crossings.

I'm literally starting on my own lego city and I love how you built the second floor for the town hall modular

For the angle wall you could put snot bricks on either side with cheese slopes to fill in that gap on the top of the wall

Just an idea maybe to solve the issue with the first floor angled wall from falling in could be putting a 1x1 or 1x2 under the second floor against the angle section as a stopper to help hold it in place.

the town hall needs to have doc brown hanging off the clock tower with his cable waiting for the delorean to come down the street! :)

I've got one of those old brick separators. It's my go-to for most brick separating, since it sits in my hand better. And since I do all axle ejecting with an 8l axle with stop (the extra length usually comes in handy) the only time I'll grab a new-style brick separator is if I want to lift a tile and I can't get at it with my fingernail.

Was confused about the mudguards being hard to find, may be used in less sets, but made me double check as they are on PAB as 28579 for .40c atm. Do think the smaller look better. Looks awesome as a moc, Love it.

Add hinges to the wobbly window in the first floor

For the corner window, maybe you can try the 1x2 modified plate with a hook and the 1x2 round plate with the holes in the place of the studs
