While the Brothers In Arms tour uploads for Dire Straits seem to be very popular and well-received as uploads on this channel, I thought that after the Ottawa show was uploaded that I would return to more On Every Street era uploads for a while for fans of this tour including myself to listen to and enjoy due to this tour also having some great shows and moments during performances. I actually had this show planned as an upload for a while now so, I thought it would be right if I kicked off the new set of uploads from this tour with the recording from the famous concert taper Mike Millard.

While this show is still in the early stages of the band's North American leg which began on January 30th of this year, we once again see another fantastic performance from the entire Dire Straits rock and roll band with some great moments throughout featuring solid vocals from Mark and some remarkable solos during the songs. This is along with the normal tour rotation of Tunnel Of Love and Telegraph Road, with the first song being performed at tonight's show and the inclusion of Planet Of New Orleans which would unfortunately would be dropped as the year progressed. However, when compared to the previous Californian sets, this show is definitely a more "standard" set when compared to said gigs although, it's certainly one that you shouldn't miss regardless due to the quality alone.

As typical for Millard's recordings, the quality for this show is brilliant and provides a fantastic listening experience for this show from the very start to the very finish. Every single detail at this show is very clearly picked up by Mike's fantastic gear without any interruptions or problems throughout. However, one slight flaw with this recording is that it starts during Calling Elvis but, this doesn't really take much out of the experience due to the rest of the show being there in full. Another thing to note is the fact that this is also one of his last recordings of any artist performing live with his final two known recordings being of U2 during their Zoo TV tour at Los Angeles and at San Diego.

Awesome show, wondering why Planet was dropped. Such a banger, and probably way more fun to play for the band than the boring Your Latest Trick or On Every Street

Thanks for your upload, great to hear again and again the fabulous golden band. Outstanding versions of Planet of New Orleans and Sultans of Swing. Magical and clear sound 😍.
