hi even i failed this time. This is my 5th failure in mains. I am writing in Tamil. Even I am loosing in very few marks difference. Even I got depressed a lot this time. I dont know what to do next. I got group 4 and 2 OT posts. I have resigned those posts and prepared for group 1. But still failing. I dont have any support from my family. I am preparing with lots of pressures. Family members - pls support the persons who is really hardworking. Prelims I crack easily everytime but not mains. My only weakness is, my family situation does not allow me to sit and do writing practice for mains. I used to get lots of disturbance if I sit to write. Aspirants- Pls do writing practice very well to crack mains.

I choose to walk through the dark roads, that many were afraid of; all alone risking dark roads though made me scared, I used my faith as light and hope as my path to travel by.

Since it was a dark road which was less travelled by, I couldn't figure out ways in the first go. I had to take different routes and had to encounter many struggles, adversities and failures but still I had my light of faith guiding me somehow with confidence. With more encounters of failures to reach my destiny through the dark road, my light of faith sometimes could dim, which could make me lose my confidence and strength.


It is natural for us humans just like you who read this, to think and regret of the very bright easy road that most people travelled by which I didn't take in my life; sometimes you may call me foolish too .

As a human, I too would feel bad at times when I think of the easy bright road; the straight ramp walk without any failures  or even life of many people on this earth who didn't take my path was easy but it was boring too...


The easiest path took them easily to a destiny without the learning of a beautiful journey. Failures thought me life though it didn't bring me a destiny., still I am searching for my destiny through the dark may be one day I will get there or I will not!!!

But I will be a person who would have travelled through the less travelled dark road ....with all those adversities, lessons and spirit of life in it.

Why to walk through life when it gives you the chance to run ? Sometimes it is worth crying; getting lost and learning lessons than to simply smile without learning life isn't it??

At you're 20 and 30 s, I feel it is not a shame to not get settled somewhere, to not get married somewhere, to not get a safe job somewhere but it is definitely a shame when you have your energy at the peak, with life bringing you opportunities everyday at your door steps, when the fire inside you wants to risk everything, when your heart is filled with hope and mind is filled with challenges to overcome the failures, but keeping it all aside you decide to just settle down simply at the end of a chair risking nothing; learning nothing; keeping yourself comfortably safe?? We all are born and we all will die but who will live in between?

Dark roads can break you down; but it will make you live -- maybe I am not settled but I am living!!!

I am also an upsc aspirant, but wrote 2022 group 1 mains and 2023 group 1 mains. But couldn't clear. I also wrote group 2 mains, but now in reached zone for group 2a. Again i will write this year group 1, with more confident.

Your success may be delayed but not denied vini, believe in your process try to find where you missed . Im in the same situation after failure from gr 2 mains. Im also preparing upsc since 2018 with multiple failures !!!
