RV Cell Signal Booster Installation (American Booster Voltex 50)

I this video, I show what's included in the American Booster Voltex 50 RV Plus cellular signal booster kit. Then I detail its installation into our 2011 Keystone Cougar fifth-wheel trailer. The video finishes up with a quick signal strength test to confirm the operation.

Next month I plan to test out the American Booster in-depth as we make our way to the US southwest for the winter RV snowbird season. I'll come back with a review of its performance in a few months.

*Fair Disclosure* I received the American Booster kit as a loaner
for this demo/review.

Willow Point sucks too or South Dogwood! I guess I might look into getting one now.

Geez... I need one these so bad. Would change my rv experience and expand my ability to work while camping with my son. Extend my trips, allow me to spend more time at campsite and not having to drive a few miles and work out of my car.

Hi Ray. Do you have an update yet on this? I am close to buying one and this will help me decide between this and the Wilson.

Afternoon Ray! Super review as always. I am interested in your long term use of that unit. Looking at their website and the spec on the booster, I noted that my carrier, TMobile, is only represented on one band, band 4. Living in rural north Alabama, I get TMO on bands 2, 4 and 12. When I use the Network Cell Info app, I noted that my phone spends a lot of time on band 12 and band 2. In a close review of TMO's technical data, those are the primary bands they use for the rural areas. That could change I am sure if the Sprint/TMO merger finally gets resolved and implemented. I am really looking forward getting band 71 (5G) in my area as that would be a super great thing! Safe travels, look forward to see where you are going this year. Cheers!

thank you for this video, I am looking forward to the review of its performance. Do you have a video of all you use for all your phones and data?

the only issue I have with my version of the Weboost is that the cable is permanently mounted in the antenna. I had to purchase a new antenna because a tree branch totaled my first one on top of the RV roof. Because the cable is permanently mounted to the antenna, we had to run the cable all the way through the RV AGAIN.. to get to the booster inside :( This one is much better in that respect.

Ray have you came up with a conclusion as to the performance between the weboost system and the American booster looking for your evaluation before I decide what to purchace

Is the inside antenna mount a magnetic mount? It looks like my Midland GMRS magnetic antenna mount.

Great vid Ray!
Very informative.
You are using Verizon Jetpack for data?
We don't have a cell booster yet - just a WIFI booster, which does seem to be effective, but you are still at the mercy of the WIFI setup at the camp.

Your cell signal analyzer looks like a good one, what is it's name so I can get it assuming it's also available on IOS.

Hey Ray any thoughts on what package your going to use this year as the Verizon one you had was discontinued I believe. Also is there any difference in the two antennas with respect to technology like MIMO or directionality?
