For anyone else thats having issues with this, once you change the keymapping in the 'configure' tab its supposed to immediately update and start working. For me I have a nuphy Air75V2 and I didnt realize that layer 2 was required to be changed to impact windows input. So double check what layer you are editing in VIA.

Keychron users, layers 2 + 3 are for windows and 0 + 1 are for Mac OS Only so make sure your keyboard has the right switch turned on for your OS.

why would you bypass the installation of via? that's what i can't find.

Web VIA does not have Layout tab, at least not when paired with my Kechron K2 Pro

Great video! For some reason I can't record in VIA. When I try to record, nothing gets recorded. Entering them in manually works, but I wish the recording did. It used work awhile ago.

Can't get it to show up in the keyboard tab. Using a Nuphy Air75. I uplaoded the json file from their website and it shows in the Design and Key Tester tab but no keyboard showing in the Configure tab.

How hard is it to program functions that create a key swap feature? Like A= S AND S=A. When you press a button it will swap back and forth? Can that be done?

I think your favorite macro of all time can be simplified. Once you've created additional desktops in Mission Control, go to OSX Keyboard settings, Shortcuts tab, and in the Mission Control category you'll see options to set key combos to "Switch to Desktop {1, 2, 3, ...}" Select an arcane key combo, and then make a VIA macro for that. I use Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+{q, w, e, r} for my four desktops.

I wish I could figure out how to make Via work with my Zoom75. Via sees my keyboard when I click configure device, but it won't connect for whatever reason. The keyboard works fine plugged in or using bluetooth. I'm not sure if I have to upgrade the firmware on the keyboard?? :(

Will it follow the keyboard if I plug it into another PC or computer? I just really want to remap some of the keys to perform certain functions so that it will work with a CNC machine.
