How to convert from PEM to PPK with PuttyGen

If you want to Putty into an EC2 instance, you need a ppk file. Unfortunately, AWS EC2 instances create pem files, which Putty can't use. How do you bridge that gap? You simply use PuttyGen, import the pem and convert it to a ppk file.

Once you convert pem to ppk, just load up Putty, grab the PPK file, type in your EC2 instance SSH URL, and issue as many commands as you like. It's that easy to convert from pem to ppk
