The guide is great imo. So much detail in it, so much work was done. I think when we get volume 2 a lot of the stuff you are wanting will probably be there.

Totally agree. I pre-ordered under the assumption it was a lore book. I love Elden Ring lore.
That said, it's a beautiful book physically and it's walkthrough content is super detailed.
But sadly, to my disappointment, it's not much of a lore book. Oh well.

Wow thats a crazy strategy guide! I remember when they were big in the 90s into early 2000s now days you hardly see them except for some huge games like this or Breath of the Wild etc. Nice vid! Like asmr😊😁

I bought the Dark Souls 2 guide from Future Press back in the day, and the biggest "lore" help that it had was simply having every single item description available in one book, many of which are hard to find (rare drops, friendly NPC drops). It didn't offer anything "new" but it was very complete of what was "in the game", so this looks to be the same, and that might be enough to make it a fun read.

Some of these judgements feel a little bit unfair, can't expect them to have information that the game itself doesn't contain.

Not going to buy it until vol 2 would be available. I would hate having a book with "Vol 1" stamped on the cover without its supposed sequel.
